I've not seen my little girl, Miss E so excited
for a very long time. We picked the parcel up from the post room and she was
beside herself with joy, 'do you think they are in there Mummy?' she asked and
luckily for me they were. What is the 'they' in question? A pair of denim
dungarees that she fell in love with upon first sight.
Both my twin girls have winter coats fromVertbaudet currently and they are wearing brilliantly, they wash up well, have
kept their vibrant colours and the mock fur remains soft and beautiful.
Therefore when they asked the girls if they would like to choose something else
they both happily sat down with the laptop and started to choose.
In honesty Vertbaudet clothes are more suited to
Miss E as she likes clothes designed for her age group, that are comfy and fun
in design. So the denim dungarees she picked are a perfect example of this.
Miss M on the other hand, despite being just 8 years would love to dress like a
14 year old and I have to hold her back and limit her clothes choices to things
that fit with my modesty code. I'm pleased to say that Vertbaudet do not offer
the mini adult clothes that so many of the high-street shops do.
You can spend as much or as little time as you
fancy browsing the Vertbaudet site, it is immense and there are hundreds of
different styles. Take girls tops for instance, if I want to see the tops that
are available for a girl aged between 2-14 I get a selection of 380 to choose
from and this overwhelms me a little so I then like being able to refine my
search by top style, age, colour, discount, price and even fabric.
Let me show you Miss E's dungarees that she is
so in love with. They retail for £25 and are worth every penny as they wash up
really well and feel like a good thick cotton. I was surprised when we received
them to find they said slim fit and adjustable waist on the garment as the
online description does not tell me this and had I ordered these for Miss M
this would have been a problem as skinny fit do not work for her. We had
ordered age 10-12 years for these dungarees despite Miss E normally wearing age
10 and although they are too long they fit well in all other arenas, which
makes me think they come up a little small as she is not big for her age.
Miss E loved her dungarees so much that we had
to plan her World Book Day outfit so she could wear them, can you guess who she
went as?
Miss M decided to order a skort ready for the
warmer weather. This little lady loves gymnastics and as soon as the grass is
dry she can be found continually cartwheeling which can prove a problem as she
loves to wear skirts. So a skort (skirt with attached shorts underneath) is a
perfect compromise. These skorts are available in grey marl or pink and retail
for £15. The fabric is again really good quality and I'm pleased to say the
length is modest too, even on my tall girl.
We also ordered age 10-12 for Miss M which is
the regular size she wears and this skort fit perfectly.
I found our order was delivered promptly after
ordering and the regular delivery time is 3-5 days by MyHermes local courier,
either direct to your door or to one of their local parcel shops. The cost for
this is £3.99 for order up to £49 in value. Over this the delivery is free and
returns are free for all arranged via the local courier.
There are some great bargains to be had on the
Vertbaudet site and these change frequently,I see at the moment there is 30%
off to girls colour collection and this means you can pick up a nice summer
dress from just £7. Of course is is always worth googling too to see if there
might be any voucher codes out there for extra discount and I always visit via
my Quidco account for up to 8% cash back.
Many thanks Vertbaudet, you've made my girls
very happy.
Disclosure: we received these two items free of
charge for the purpose of this review. I have not been instructed what to write
and I remain honest.
