Searching for our Perfect Eurocamp Holiday for 2018

Oh the weather really is dreary now, isn't it? The rain has arrived, the sky is dull, the trees are shedding their leaves and all I want to do is fly away to sunnier climes. It's not to be at the moment though, so the next best thing I can do is start to look for our perfect family holiday for 2018.

In May this year our family stayed as guests of Eurocamp at the Playa Montroig Camping Resort on the Costa Dorada, Spain and we had such a wonderful time. It was just what we needed - superb accommodation with a great decked area for quality family time, amazing swimming pools and fun entertainment that engaged us all. It's no wonder that I'm thinking we will stay with Eurocamp again in 2018.

I asked some fellow bloggers where they have stayed with Eurocamp and which sites they would recommend, here's what they said -

1km of water slides at Duinrell!

Duinrell Campsite in Wassenaar, Holland
I know quite a few friends who have holidayed here and they all agree it has the most amazing entertainment, theme park and water complex. Sounds pretty amazing, right? Alana from Baby Holiday travelled there with her young family in September this year and she says it is perfect for toddlers, in fact what she said about Duinrell was that 'it's not relaxing but fab for the kids' and every parent knows that if the kids are happy then chances are they are too!

Joy at the Sensory Seeker said their families favourite Eurocamp site (they're stayed in a few) is Duinrell as well 'as there is just so much to do both day and night for the whole family. In fact we have been several times and never managed to explore the local area as the kids love the camp so much' and her kids are much older, so that gives a great perspective from the other end of the parenting spectrum.

Look at all those pools and right on the beach too!

Marina di Venezia, Punta Sabbioni, Italy
I've been musing Italy as our destination for next year so it was really good to hear Jodie from Maidenhad Mum talk about what a fabulous holiday they had there in May 2017. Here's what she said 'we loved Marina de Venezia on the Adriatic coast near Venice. I love that they are right on the beach but a short hop to Venice so everyone is happy!' Her post titled 5 Reasons to visit Venice with a toddler is a great (and reassuring) read.

Louise from A Strong Coffee was also quick to recommend Marina de Venezia, having stayed there earlier this year.  She said 'the pools were fantastic, much better than any hotels we have stayed in'.

Look at the amazing coastal position of La Pointe St-Gilles Campsite

La Pointe St-Gilles Campsite, BĂ©nodet, Brittany, France
Simone from Dog Days and Delights took her first Eurocamp holiday this year and loved it, her daughters favourite things were the water slides and evening entertainment. Isn't it the same for pretty much very kid, whatever their age? La Pointe St-Gilles Campsite is a smaller parc than those mentioned above but it still seems to have all the amenities you'd expect and also a health spa and beauty centre.

Le Brasilia, a parc with an action-packed entertainment programme

Le Brasilia Campsite, Roussillon, France
Whilst we were away in May my friend Steph from Steph's Two Girls was also away at a Eurocamp and I was loving seeing all the photos of her family having a marvellous time at Le Brasilia Campsite. Here is what Steph says about their time there 'We loved Le Brasilia, the huge plus points for us were that it was on a long sandy beach, it was near the airport so only 20 mins drive, and it has a fantastic pool area - separate baby and toddler pools, pool with slides, a big lane swimming pool and a shoulder high heated pool too. Oh and a separate adults only spa/bubble pool!

The whole campsite was super clean and spacious, lovely flowers etc, and a great range of shops like baker, fruit and veg, supermarket, swim/beach stuff, launderette etc. The accommodation was decent - small rooms as usual but generous bathroom and kitchen/lounge area, and big deck outside with table and chairs. We totally loved it all - lots of activities to do around there like cave visiting and watersports etc, and we went to a fab water park just over the border in Spain. A great holiday all round!' Steph reviewed her stay for Mums Do Travel. Fiona from A Mum Track Mind has also stayed at the same site and loved it as well.

Look at all that space between the mobile homes offering great privacy

Beekse Bergen Campsite, Holland
Never would I have imagined that two of the recommendations would come for holiday parcs in the Netherlands, I have to admit it isn't somewhere I've considered for a holiday before but I've been enjoying looking through all the information on the Eurocamp site and I'll be chatting to my husband about it.

Nicole from The Mum Reviews said she had been to several Eurocamp parcs and enjoyed them all. One of the more unusual visits was this summer when her family stayed at Beekse Bergen, Unusual, why? Well because it has a safari park and amusement park on site that you can use an unlimited amount included in the price! That sounds pretty cool, right?

Just look at the Aqua Pirates Fun Park at Cote D'Argent Campsite

Cote D'Argent Campsite, Gascony and Gironde, France

Clare from Mudpie Fridays visited this site earlier this year and wrote a number of posts about her family's time there. As someone who had never stayed in France, nor at a parc or with Eurocamp I was keen to read how Clare got on. It was the new Aqua Pirates area that had been the clincher when Clare was choosing her holiday and it was good to read that it didn't disappoint.

Here's a few snippets I've taken from Clare 'The location is beautiful you really are nestled amongst the pine forest', 'The beach is so close, just a short walk into the village, and its stunning. Its located perfectly to explore a number of beaches in the area' and 'We had the most amazing time and I was a little sad to leave our mobile home at the end of the week. No wonder 90% of families say they will come back. We most definitely will.'

I hope you like my picks. These are just a tiny sample of the variety of parcs available from Eurocamp, as they have 170 locations in 13 countries.

For further information on Eurocamp, please call 01606 787787 or visit www.eurocamp.co.uk. You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter. I've seen some amazing offers on the site when I've been looking today and not just for term-time either! Go on, what are you waiting for?

Why not pin this post for later?

Disclosure: In May this year Eurocamp provided my family with accommodation for a weeks stay in Spain. I wrote about it at the time and there is no obligation for me to write this post but we had a wonderful time and I'm genuinely looking to stay with them again in 2018.
