Completing the One4all Challenge - What will we Do?

Recently I wrote about how the people at One4all Gift Card had challenged me to treat one of my kids to a truly memorable Christmas activity.

After checking out the One4all website I discovered that we had hundreds upon hundreds of options open to us for great things to buy or do. I didn't want to use the money on the card to just buy things that might be used once and then forgotten so I decided that the bulk of the money would be spent on a night away for the two of us. When I had asked Miss E what she wanted for Christmas this year she had said 'time with you mummy' and this seems the perfect way to fulfil that wish.

Hotel Stay over
I discovered that I could book hotels via the Superbreak site using my One4all card, so after a good look round the site, I decided to book the Macdonald Frimley Hall Hotel and Spa in Surrey. My husband and I have stayed at this 4* hotel before and had a wonderful time and it is only about 30 minutes drive from my parents. This is perfect as Miss E had said she'd love her Nanny to be involved in her treat too, so this will be an extra nice surprise for her. The one night stay for the both of us booked via Superbreak is £110.

Toby Carvery Lunch
We'll travel to Surrey from East Sussex in the morning and Miss E will have no idea what is going to happen. Once in Frimley we'll meet my Mum and Dad at the Toby Carvery there and use the One4all gift card to purchase ourselves a yummy roast lunch.

A dip in the Pool
Once lunch is over my Dad can head off back home and Miss E and I will go for a dip in the pool, whilst Mum enjoys a relax at the side and watches us.

Shopping at the Lexicon
After that we can make the 10 mile drive over to the brand new Lexicon shopping centre in Bracknell. Here we have loads of shops that we love and will take the One4all card, wonderful shops like M&S, FatFace, H&M, Dorothy Perkins, Clarks, Primark and WH Smiths. Miss E, my Mum and I can all treat ourselves to something gorgeous to wear the next day.

Dinner out - Pizza and Pasta
Dinner will be at Pizza Express or Zizzi, again courtesy of the One4all card and I think once we have shopped and eaten it will be time to drop Nanny back and for Miss E and I to have a relax on our big double bed. For that is what she'll insist on, that is all part of the treat, that she gets to snuggle up with me for the night.

A yummy Breakfast and another Swim
Breakfast the next morning will be a long and leisurely affair as we enjoy a cooked Full English and take our time. Our check-out isn't until 11am so I suspect Miss E might grab me for another dip in the pool before we leave the hotel.

Young Drivers Lesson
The last surprise for Miss E before we head home is a 30 minute young driver experience at Kempton Park. This is just £29 at the moment, paid for again with the One4all card but booked via the Virgin Experience Days website.

I suspect that after all this excitement, she will be ready to head home and tell her twin all about what she has been up to.

Getting Ready for our Time Away
Myself and both of my girls are in need of new boots for the winter so we headed over to the Woking branch of Clarks over the Black Friday weekend. Clarks is one of the newest retailers to join One4all and they are a favourite shoe retailer for my daughters and I (they both have huge feet for their age).

Miss E chose a pair of ladies Orinoco Spice (such a fab name) in grey and they were just £55.20 with the 20% Black Friday discount and I got some Everlay Mandy boots in black, which were also a bargain at £52.00. Miss M didn't find anything she fancied in her size on this occasion but she'll keep looking I know!

I've had a wonderful time choosing how we will spend our money on the One4all card and being able to treat Miss E.  Don't worry that she is being singled out though as Miss M has chosen to have a night away with Daddy and they are heading to London to stay and visit the theatre and JJ wants some money towards a new gaming PC. So each of the children will be super happy over Christmas.
