Sunset Scooting at Bexhill-on-Sea

Bexhill beach

Isn't it good to break out from the norm sometimes? During half-term we grabbed my husband out of work early on the Friday afternoon and dropped JJ off so he could go away for an adventure weekend with our church. Then the rest of us headed down to my favourite local seaside town, Bexhill-on-Sea for some fresh air and exercise.

I always purposely park quite a long way from where we want to go so that we have to enjoy a walk along the prom. The girls had asked to bring their Micro scooters as it is a nice smooth surface and perfect for scooting and skating along. We didn't arrive in Bexhill until after 4pm and as it is still Winter it wasn't too long before the sun started to set and we could enjoy the gorgeous views.

There wasn't anything particularity sophisticated or different about our visit, we have been to this town dozens upon dozens of times before. We have a walk, they have a scoot and then a play on the equipment along the prom and in Egerton Park. In the summer we normally have ice cream from Paolo's and chips from Mini Bertha's and we eat them on the front. But it was too cold in February for that so we headed to the new Weatherspoons pub as we've been hearing good things and wow, not a table in sight!

As we prepared to go to the fish shop I remembered that our favourite Pizzeria from Hastings had opened a branch in Bexhill, so we headed to Rustico. What a gorgeous meal we had. Who knew that meatballs and chips went well on a pizza?

My Wrangler pizza with homemade meatballs and chips and then below homemade Cannoli, one chocolate and one lemon - so good!

Why not pin this post for later?
