Looking Forward to our Eurocamp Holiday at Club Farret Camping, Vias, Languedoc

All the family are on countdown, there is just 15 days until we fly over to the South of France for our stay at Club Farret Campsite with Eurocamp. I'm really pleased to have chosen this 5 star parc for our next Eurocamp holiday. Brilliantly it is just 10 minutes from Beziers airport and we were able to pick up good value flights with Ryanair from Stansted and and a really competitive in-resort transfer with Sun Transfers.

I can honestly say that every one of us is excited and each of us for our own reasons. Let me share with you what we are looking forward to -

Enjoying the Swimming Pools
We are lucky enough to have two great pools at this campsite. There is Tao Beach with a swimming area for both adults and kids (which is heated in the low season), as well as a counter-current river and bubble massage seats. There's also the Pirates Bay Pool area where there is fun by the bucketful with slides, diving board and loads of water games. My girls will also be thrilled to find there is a swim up bar. I do hope they serve mocktails as that will make one of Miss M's dreams come true!

I also see an exciting new aquadome pool with a retractable roof is being built right now. Sadly I think we'll be a little early for it as I believe it opens in Summer 2018. I'll give you an update once we are back.

Joining in with the Kids Clubs/Entertainment
My twin girls are very social and they manage to make friends wherever we go. Luckily as we live as part of an international community they are quite used to having some language barriers, so it probably won't even matter to them if they have French or other nationality children to play with. There is a children's club running all season for 5-7 year old's and also for 8-12's and then in the summer high season there is a teens club too for 13-7 year old's. I think we'll be too early in the season for this but I don't suppose JJ will mind too much as he is less inclined to join in with organised activities anyway.

Relaxing on the Deck of our Mobile Home
I know this might sound a bit boring but this was one of mine and my husbands favourite times on our Eurocamp holiday last year. When the sun was baking hot we sat on our shaded deck and read a book, played cards with the kids or enjoyed a family meal together. This kind of lazy holiday pace is just what we all need.

Exploring the Local Area on Foot
Directly next to Club Farret is a beautiful 5km long sandy beach, which I have seen described as a typical seaside strip and to be honest, that's fine with us as we love a bucket and spade type holiday. Add in the better weather and we'll have lots of fun I'm sure. Last year we stayed completely on resort for the whole week and this year I have ensured I booked a campsite where we can walk out or get the bus easily and visit some local towns as I like to experience some local culture.

As we choose to fly to our destination and then to get a taxi transfer it means we do not have a car for use during the week but this really suits us as neither my husband or I want to drive abroad and it means we fully relax.

The town of Vias is just a couple of kilometres walk away and I'm looking forward to some family meals out, visiting the Gothic Church, experiencing the local market and taking a long walk by the Canal du Midi.

Enjoying the Food
You know what they say, when in France, do as the French do and this means I'll be really enjoying my food and quite possibly some good rose wine too. On the parc there is a supermarket, restaurant, bar and take-away for us to try out and of course we'll be heading out into the town of Vias to try out some of the restaurants that Eurocamp have recommended to us.

Probably the things I will enjoy most though are fresh baked baguettes from the boulangerie, local cheeses and pastries too. There almost won't be a need to cook in France as I could literally live off pic-nic type meals but it would be a shame not to make the most of the provided BBQ and last year my husband really enjoyed cooking with the kids and it was such a welcome break for me.

I think that gives you a flavour of what Club Farret Camping can provide and you can see why we are feeling excited and optimistic for another wonderful Eurocamp holiday.

We'll be joining in with Eurocamp and sharing our pictures on social media with the hashtag #BestEverDays. If you are away at a Eurocamp resort this summer make sure you do too, as you could win a 7 night 2018 holiday at one of their 190 parcs, valued up to £1000.

You can check out the Trip Advisor review for stays at Camping Club Farret; there is an overall score of 4/ 5 and 76% of reviews mark the parc as excellent or very good. Reevoo also have reviews just for the Eurocamp part of the parc and this gives a super overall score of 8.6/ 10. You can read more reviews on the Eurocamp site.

For further information on Eurocamp, please call 01606 787787 or visit www.eurocamp.co.uk. You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter. I've seen some amazing offers on their website when I've been looking today and not just for term time either!

Disclosure: We have received a 7 night complimentary stay at Camping Club Farret in May in exchange for an honest review of our time there. I have not been instructed what to write and I remain honest.
