I'm very excited that summer has finally arrived. There are only three weeks until the kids break up from school and then all the real fun can begin!
As I was thinking about summer I thought it might be fun to do a bucket list, I think its been a few years since I last did one. I'm working in my new job two days a week this summer, so I'll have to be creative how I fit in all the fun that I want to have, as there will still be my freelance work to do as well. Luckily the girls have various church camps that they'll get involved with over 3 or 4 weeks of the summer, so they won't have time to be bored.
Here's a few things I really want to do over the summer holiday -
- Have a great family time away in Kent, visiting Dreamland, Margate
- Have a bike ride along the sea front
- Take a trip up onto the cliffs at Seven Sisters
- Eat chips on the beach
- Take a long walk at Bexhill seafront with the kids and go to the park
- Paddle in the sea
- Chill by the lake with a good book
- Have a BBQ
- Take a family trip up to London
- See a West End show as a family
- Play the penny arcade machines
- Enjoy the village fete
- Worship the Lord amongst 3000 other people
- Paint a picture
- Take the girls shopping in Brighton for their birthday
- Visit my parents
- Do a car boot sale
- Go fruit picking
- Have my parents to stay and go out and enjoy some days with them
- Drink Pimm's
- Swim in an outdoor pool
- Play mini-golf with the girls
- Go for a family pic-nic
- Watch the Wednesday fireworks after the proms concert in Eastbourne, after enjoying ice-cream sundaes
- Have a weekend digital detox
- Explore somewhere new with my family
How about you, do you have any plans for the summer?
