Here are some recommendations of places we have stayed, in the south of England, and have really enjoyed, thus being happy to recommend them -
East Sussex - Blue Doors Cottage, Ashburnham Place, Battle
This comfortable cottage sleeps 5 adults easily, has a large private back garden, allocated parking and good WiFi. Nestled in the woods at the 220 acre Ashburnham Place it is a great place to holiday. You can walk or cycle the extensive grounds and enjoy all that Ashburnham Place has to offer. It's only 8 miles from Bexhill beach and the towns of Hastings and Eastbourne are around 30 minutes away.
East Devon - Mazzard Farm, Ottery St Mary
Take a look at this short video and see what is on offer. Also, looking at the website it looks as if the cottages have been updated further since we were there, and they were already stylish and comfortable then.

Kent - Ro's Place through Airbnb, Whitstable
The house is nothing to look at, it is a classic 1970's build but that means there is a decent amount of space and it is comfortably furnished and has a great back garden and private parking. We found everything we needed at this house and enjoyed being able to walk to the pub opposite and the local cafe.
It is well placed for visiting all the picturesque seaside resorts in this area of Kent or going into Canterbury for some culture and shopping.

Norfolk - The White House, Fakenham
This is another Airbnb that we have now stayed in a couple of times and we really enjoy it there. I'll be honest it is not a glamorous property, the decor is pretty outdated and it's a tad dusty in places but it has an amazing big garden, loads of animals onsite that you can pet and help to feed and the beds are comfortable. The price is always reasonable too, so if you want a value holiday, this place might be for you.It is positioned really well to explore the North Norfolk coast and you can get everywhere very easily if you have a car. There are some great beaches, seaside towns and historic buildings locally to visit.

North Cornwall - Coombe Mill, Bodmin
I have to admit that we've never yet been to Coombe Mill, it is owned by my lovely fellow blogger friend Fiona and her husband Farmer Nick. They have a number of cottages and wood lodges in their 30 acre estate, which includes a working farm.
The self-catering accommodation sleeps between 4 and 8 and they seem to be continually updating and working on their farm to ensure it offers the highest standards. There are play areas, a stream, sandpit, indoor BBQ hut, fishing, crazy golf, mini train rides, a tractor run to feed the animals and a weekly activity hour. It always seems as if there is something for all the family. I've known many friends stay there over the years and they always seem to love it. You can check out some reviews from Chelsea Mamma and Dear Mummy Blog.
