Having just gone into tier 4 (practically lockdown) this past weekend it seems extra pertinent to write a Reasons to be Cheerful post and to try to focus on the good things going on in my life.
First off, the biggies - my family are all well, my friends are well, we have a lovely home, our heating got fixed and we are warm, we have enough food to eat and we can afford to pay our bills. In this time when people are losing loved ones, jobs and homes, I know we are very lucky to have all of those things still.
Then the next thing I am giving thanks for, is that I know Jesus. My faith makes a massive difference in my life and it is so much richer for it. We are also part of a super community-spirited church and we've had some great zoom church services, a quiz and met some other members online for a chat recently.
I'll share a few photos from other precious moments in the last couple of weeks -
* Decorating the tree with Miss E. Going for the mismatched but full of memories look
* A rare picture captured of my hubby and I before we celebrated a friends birthday (back when we were allowed to do that, lol!)
* After a family trip to our tea room (when it was open) the sun was just setting as we headed home and I enjoyed capturing reflection pictures in the fountain.
* I met a friend in the entrance to the tractor shed and we made our festive door wreaths together. I love having a real one on our door and it has become a tradition to make it with Jay.
* My home is looking amazing in the winter sun. Now I have to pray that we can get through tier 4 and not having any customers. Hopefully, it is God's plan for this amazing place to keep being a place for His glory for a long time to come.
* A couple of weeks ago I caught up with my Mum and Dad and got some lovely doggy cuddles with Archie.
* I'm super pleased the kids have broken up now and I've enjoyed baking and cooking, playing board games and just hanging out with them.
Roll on Christmas, we are ready for you!
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and I hope you can stay positive and enjoy the time, even if it is different from your original plans.
