Embracing the Great Outdoors with Regatta Edgepoint Walking Boots

It's so important to me to get outside and to be amongst nature. I know that I am calmer, less anxious and more happy when I have spent time walking through the forests or exploring somewhere new. Getting out for a nice long walk also provides me with a great excuse to spend some time with my nearly 18-year-old son. I'm becoming very aware that I only have a year before he'll head off to university and I'll only see him occasionally. 

Today we headed out to Herstmonceux Castle which isn't too far from home but JJ has never been there before. I was excited as it was just the two of us and he had his new Regatta walking boots to wear in, before he heads off on a long hike next weekend.

We had a good 2.5/3-hour walk today exploring the 300-acre estate and JJ tells me his boots were really comfortable. He didn't get any blisters or discomfort like you can with new shoes sometimes and considering it was 25 degrees and humid he said his feet stayed cool and dry. It was a dry day so we didn't have a chance to try out the water-resistance of the boots, but with a tested name like Regatta you know they will be OK.

JJ's Thoughts

JJ really likes his Regatta Edgepoint walking boots, they were cool and very comfortable to wear. He said he can wear them confidently next weekend for his long hike as they have good support at the ankles (and that's really important when you are walking the pot-hooled downs) and a shock-absorbing footbed.

He found them easy to get on and off, the laces were a good length and you could adjust the width/ fit easily to your foot width. The overlays at the toe and heel are very good and will help the boots stay in good condition despite walking on rocky ground. They aren't too heavy when lifting your feet but have a good grip when you are climbing.

He thinks the shoes look smart and quite understated which he likes, as he doesn't like to attract attention to himself. At £70 I think they are a great price and we'd be happy to recommend them.
