Reasons to be Cheerful - Heading into Autumn

Hey friends, how is life?

Things have been quite interesting here, there have been some lovely days or moments, like yesterday when I headed up to London with my hubby to see the Prince of Egypt at the theatre, or today when I did community meals at church and then had lunch with a friend. But there have also been some really hard stuff going on in the last month or so.

With that in mind it is so important that I write this post and look for all the good things in life, the things I am grateful for, as otherwise I could head into a spiral of despair and that's no good. I don't think I have the headspace for anything too wordy, so I'll go back to basics and do a list of all the things that I am so grateful for right now and in the last month or so -

  1. That I can work from home and it gives me the space to support my kids
  2. I got petrol when I needed it without too much queueing
  3. I had a great time at the Blog On conference last weekend
  4. I got to spend some time with my parents and had some good food whilst I was there
  5. It was JJ's birthday and my baby is now 18, We celebrated  very simply and I made him a coffee cake

  6. I went out driving with JJ and he was really good. It's such an odd feeling to be driven by your child
  7. JJ had his second biologic injection and it looks like it is working, his psoriasis is really improving
  8. Fresh and clean bedding on my bed
  9. The cat has been in a cuddly mood just recently
  10. I'm loving the Autumn colours that are starting to appear
  11. Miss E had a wonderful weekend away with some friends recently
  12. Being part of a super church, with great friendly people
  13. Coffee with a lovely friend earlier this week
  14. I'm looking forward to a spa day with a friend in November
  15. I'm already getting sorted for Christmas and have quite a few presents in the bag already
  16. That I get to live in my house, I truly love it
  17. Reading great books on my Kobo and finding that I can get ebooks from the library, so I don't have to keep spending money on them
  18. Time at a local Christian centre, where I can read, pray, relax and have a great lunch

  19. For Dune perfume that I adore the smell of and it transports me back to my younger years
  20. New sparkly earrings that I had picked up in the sale for one of the twins, but then I decided I'd keep them, as I already had a couple of sets for their stockings
  21. A yummy pastry and fruits pudding from Miss E's food tech class
  22. That I can always turn to God and rely on Him
and I've run a bit dry now, which I think is testament to my tired brain, as I can normally keep going and going with my gratitude list.

I sure hope October is being kind to you and you have a tremendous weekend, Mich xx
