Hello friends, how are you?
1. Love where you Live
What is it like where you are? It has been super cold, foggy and plain nasty many of the days this week in East Sussex but there have been glimpses of bright blue skies too and some enjoyable times to get outdoors and enjoy the amazing landscape here. So that is my first reason, that I get to live in the most amazing place, just look at that picture above, pretty cool - right?
2. Trip to London
Last weekend, my husband and I got to have a one night, two day stay up in London whilst our lovely friend Annie stayed with our kids. We saw Wicked the musical, had fabulous Chinese food, walked the Thames, looks round the Tate Britain museum and I loved it. It was so good to spend time just the two of us.
3. Sing your heart out
Once back from London my had such a lot of fun with our girls as we had been sent a karaoke set to celebrate the launch of the SING movie this Friday. We all had a go and then went to see the movie on Friday, it is worth seeing with the kids, we laughed a lot.
4. Visit to the Podiatrist
Now this is a funny reason, isn't it? But basically over the last few years I've been having more and more pain in my feet and also in my lower legs (well knees and thighs sometimes too if I am honest) and I put it all down to weight and sort of hide my head in the sand. About a year ago I went to a podiatrist and got some stubborn verrucas treated and I thought this would make a difference, it didn't.
So I then went to the doctors to talk about how bad my pain was getting and she referred me to a podiatrist at the hospital and it isn't easy to get an NHS referral but she managed it as I have a bio-mechanical abnormality. Sounds serious doesn't it, but basically my calf muscles are to short and this distorts the way I walk and thus the pressure I put onto parts of my feet is all wrong and causes pain and referred pain too. Apparently intensive stretching and some orthotics in my shoes will be the difference, I sure hope so.
Fancy joining in?
That's it for this week, a few short and sharp reasons to be cheerful and that was the basis of this linky when it started way back in January 2011. Everyone can join in, as when we dig deep there is always something to be thankful for and to give you even a hint of a smile! I'd love to read your Reasons to be Cheerful and it is as easy as 1, 2, 3 to join in -
1. Link up a post about something that is making you super happy/ grateful. It can be in this style or it can be anything you like - a recipe, a tutorial, a from the heart, a list - it's your blog, you choose
2. Add the #R2BC badge onto your post or blog so that people can easily find the linky and join in too if they fancy
3. Share the love. This is the really important bit. Please don't just link and run, comment on at least a couple of posts and share with #R2BC
I'll stop by all linked up posts to comment and I'll share on twitter
