It is time for our Thursday dose of cheer. I'm looking forward to reading your posts and finding out what is making you full of joy this week. It's been a while since I've done an #R2BC post - March in fact. First we headed off on holiday, then the Easter holidays and to be honest this is the first week I feel like I have caught up since the kids were off. Sorry for my absence. Let's dive straight in with a few reasons from the last week -
We had a fun weekend over the May bank holiday. On the Saturday, my husband, myself and the girls headed over to a local farm. It wasn't particularly big but it was nice to see the animals and the girls had a great play together. Miss E was enjoying using her camera and we are going to make a photo book as a memory of her weekend (as she won a free one in the McDonalds monopoly game).
Then Sunday and Monday all five of us headed over to stay in Portsmouth and we had a day at the Historic Dockyard. What a fab place this is, so much fun and the cost is super reasonable. It was just a shame it was so rainy and miserable as it meant we didn't take the harbour tour. We'll have to head back again as there is more than enough we didn't see for another visit. Above is the girls climbing the ships mast, an activity they really enjoyed and one that helped their confidence and bravery no end. I certainly wouldn't have climbed up there and rung the bell!
I'm loving the fact that I have some spare time this week. I plan to catch up on all the jobs that are outstanding and I've been doing a few nice activities too, like baking these blackberry muffins yesterday morning. Also using up the blackberries have freed up some space in my freezer, which is always welcome. It really is the simple things that make me happiest!
Come on, join in too...
So there we go, it's as simple as that. Why don't you join in too? We'd love to have some new people join in with Reasons to Cheerful (or #R2BC for short). This linky has been running a very long time (since Jan 2011) and there are only really about 4 or 5 of us who join in now and have done for a long time but please don't think we all know each so well that we want to shut anyone else out. We are super friendly and will happily embrace you into our cheerful friendship.

I'd love to read your Reasons to be Cheerful and it is as easy as 1, 2, 3 to join in -
1. Link up a post about something that is making you super happy/ grateful. It can be in this style or it can be anything you like - a recipe, a tutorial, a from the heart, a list - it's your blog, you choose
2. Add the #R2BC badge onto your post or blog so that people can easily find the linky and join in too if they fancy
3. Share the love. This is the really important bit. Please don't just link and run, comment on at least a couple of posts and share with #R2BC
I'll stop by all linked up posts to comment and I'll share on twitter too
