Reasons to be Cheerful - Scooting, Golf & Go Ape! #R2BC

We are on holiday with my parents and brother in Dorset this week, having left my hubby at home to work. The weather hasn't been great but we haven't let that affect us as it is still great to be away and of course the kids love being with their grandparents and especially their golden Labrador, Archie.

End of Term Treat
Even before we went, once school had finished on Friday, I picked the girls up for an end of term girlie treat, and we headed out for ice-cream milkshakes, signing up for the summer reading challenge at the library, scooting on their new Micro Scooter Sprites on the seafront, wearing their new school shoes from Start-rite (which will be their main school shoes from September), enjoying a fish and chip supper and finishing with some playtime at the park. We were out for hours and then when we got home I had to do the packing as we were leaving at 8am the next morning, lol!

Lots of fun has been had, including -

Daily Dog Walks - My kids all love Archie the Labrador and it amazes me each year how much the kids love to take him out and play with him as part of their summer holiday. It means my Dad gets a bit of on-on-one Granddad time too, which is a nice bonus.

Go Ape at Moors Valley Country Park - The kids all had a wonderful time at Go Ape on Monday. They have all ready found their adventurous streak of late and Miss E particularly is such a dare devil and up for anything. We found this course of be really good and the Moors Valley Country Park is amazing and somewhere I'd love to explore again.

Seriously Good Crazy Golf - Our family always loves a game of crazy golf and normally we just play in the gardens in Bournemouth. This time we headed over to Playgolf Bournemouth for the Mighty Claws Adventure golf. We had loads of laughs and it was fab to find something that all seven of us could get involved with, so our ages spanned from 10 to just gone 70 years.

It's been a good week but we are all missing my hubby and him us so it is almost time to go home and get settled into the school holiday groove!
