Eating Better
And you'll know just how much I need help on that front. I can't say I have been the best with food this week but I have definitely been better, I just need to remember to keep taking the medication that the doctor has given me and that means remembering to eat low-fat otherwise I pay the consciences in the bathroom (if you get what I mean!) and its not pleasant.
Going to the Gym
I've been to the gym twice this week and I'm not sure I can say I enjoyed it but I certainly didn't hate it and I've booked in for two more sessions next week, so I'll just take it one week at a time and hopefully all these little steps will add up and I'll start finding myself healthier and fitter.
Adjusting to Year 6
We had a very chilled weekend last weekend as the girls had spent the week at a PGL activity camp and whilst they had an amazing time, they came home like zombies. Miss E especially could hardly function and she is only just catching up now. I think year 6 has come as a bit of a shock to the girls as well as the emphasis on homework has really increased and today they went in dressed as evacuees with a shoebox each packed with all the things an evacuee child might have had to take away with them.
Time with God
In the last week I've carved out some nuggets of time when I have been able to just sit in peace and focus on God and it has been wonderful. I'm hoping to do the same again tonight. I feel so much better about life when I am connected and it just takes me being purposeful and not getting distracted with the crap of everyday life.
Getting on Top of Things
I might have mentioned that I have stopped doing some of my voluntary work and I've decided to leave finding a job until my health is much more in check and I've had the op that I am waiting for. This means that I have some time to myself and I have really been getting on top of things at home, sorting cupboards and shelves, making appointments for secondary school viewings for the girls and getting more paid blogging work.
So that's me, its been a good week. How has yours been?
Come and Join In!
I'd love to read your Reasons to be Cheerful and it is as easy as 1, 2, 3 to join in -
1. Link up a post about something that is making you super happy/ grateful. It can be in this style or it can be anything you like - a recipe, a tutorial, a from the heart, a list - it's your blog, you choose
2. Add the #R2BC badge onto your post or blog so that people can easily find the linky and join in too if they fancy
3. Share the love. This is the really important bit. Please don't just link and run, comment on at least a couple of posts and why not share with #R2BC too?
I'll stop by all linked up posts to comment and I'll share on twitter too
Wishing you an amazing week ahead. Be blessed, Mich x
