Happy September friends, I can’t believe how quickly the year is passing by. We have done so much this year and yet I only feel like it should be May or June, but no we are heading into the Autumn and the kids are all back to school, or should I say my girls have started secondary school, but that will be the subject of next weeks R2BC.
For this week I’m sharing about our holiday last
week. We took ourselves off to visit Adams parents and then had four nights in
a North Norfolk, having wonderful family time. Here are just a few of the
things that made this a simple and joyous holiday -
Fresh eggs every day. I love eggs and especially
when they are fresh. The cottage that we book has numerous chickens, so each
morning Miss M went out and got us fresh eggs for our breakfast, we had egg and
bacon baps, fried eggs on toast, scrambled eggs and even eggs bread. We had to
make the most of them! You'll also see her with Dave the pony in the top picture, this house is her idea of heaven with loads of animals.
Getting through a whole book. I adore reading,
especially light and fluffy romance fiction, so it was fabulous to have enough
time and space on this break to get through a whole Debbie Macomber book. I
read Cottage by the Sea and it is a lovely read, there’s a bit of everything -
tragedy, rejection, love, forgiving yourself and starting again.
Spending time with my boy. Of course I also
enjoyed spending time with the rest of my family but in general I go out with,
and spend far more time with my husband and girls than I do JJ. As he’s
practically 15 now he is often at work when we go out, or he just doesn’t fancy
doing the things we do, so being with him was great. We ambled along and
chatted as we looked round Felbrigg Hall, a National Trust property and enjoyed
a coffee together (along with the card version of trivial pursuit) whilst the others played the penny arcades.
Seeing the Seals at Blakeney Point. We went out
on a boat trip with Beans Boots and had a lovely time for an hour. The seals are just divine and we all got some magnificent photos.
Now it’s your turn. Over to you, what’s making you cheerful this week?
Come and Join In!
I'd love to read your Reasons to be Cheerful and it is as easy as 1, 2, 3 to join in -
1. Link up a post about something that is making you super happy/ grateful. It can be in this style or it can be anything you like - a recipe, a tutorial, a from the heart, a list - it's your blog, you choose,
2. Add the #R2BC badge onto your post or blog so that people can easily find the linky and join in too if they fancy,
3. Share the love. This is the really important bit. Please don't just link and run, comment on at least a couple of posts and why not share with #R2BC too?
I'll stop by all linked up posts to comment and I'll share on twitter too
